Responsibilities- Provide high‑quality, safe, cost‑effective total nursing care to all patients.
- Assume responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process.
- Direct care according to established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control, with the goal of discharging the patient with an optimum level of care.
- Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
- Administer all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy.
- Perform and fulfill all hospital incident command system (HICS) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed during emergencies and/or disasters.
- Know the hospital’s emergency codes, including purpose and appropriate actions for each, and adhere to hospital policies and procedures for each code.
This role provides direct clinical patient care. The RN will assess, plan, and implement direct patient care for assigned patients on a per‑shift basis, supervise delegated staff, and support the Chief Nursing Officer to ensure high‑quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, clinical staff competency, and effective resource management.
EducationRequired:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing.
Preferred:
Recent acute‑care experience.
Required:
Current state nursing license and registration; AHA BLS.
By corporate policy for unit of hire: AHA ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP.
BLS must be obtained at hire or within five working days before assuming patient care (renewal every two years).
This position may qualify for a sign‑on bonus.
