Overview
Scouting America Longhorn Council seeks a Youth Development District Assistant to support district operations in membership growth, revenue development, customer service, and program delivery. This position reports to a Field Director or District Director and provides leadership within an assigned geographic area. This is a non-exempt, hourly position.
Responsibilities- Grow community partnerships with civic, religious, educational, and business groups.
- Assist in meeting membership, fundraising, and program goals.
- Demonstrate strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Interact effectively with diverse communities.
- Support volunteer recruitment, training, and program execution.
- Uphold high ethical standards and maintain professional conduct.
- Ability to speak and write in Spanish (preferred, not required).
- Experience in nonprofits, sales, fundraising, or community outreach.
- Budgeting or fiscal management experience.
- Scouting experience preferred but not required.
- Willingness to support Scouting America’s leadership and membership standards and uphold the Scout Oath and Law.
- Reliable personal vehicle for work-related travel.
- Offers are subject to criminal background check, reference check, and motor vehicle record review.
- $20.00 per hour (non-exempt).
- An individual office and computer are provided.

- Paid vacation and ten Council-observed holidays.
