Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, including counters, sinks, stovetops, ovens, grills, and prep tables
- Wash and properly store pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment used in the Space
X facility - Sweep, mop, and disinfect kitchen floors, walk-ins, and storage areas
- Empty trash, recycling, and food waste bins; replace liners and transport waste to designated disposal areas
- Clean and disinfect refrigerators, freezers, and storage shelves (including Space
X‑specific food storage areas) - Restock cleaning supplies (soap, sanitizer, paper towels) as needed
- Follow proper procedures for handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and PPE per Space
X and ABM safety guidelines - Report maintenance needs, equipment issues, or safety hazards promptly to the supervisor and per Space
X protocols - Support kitchen staff with additional cleaning tasks during and after meal service
- Attend required safety briefings and site‑specific Space
X training sessions - Comply with all Space
X site‑specific security, confidentiality, and access requirements - Maintain cleaning equipment and storage areas in a clean, organized condition
Essential
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in kitchen, janitorial, or industrial cleaning preferred; experience in high‑security or industrial environments a plus
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions in both English and Spanish
- Reliability in attendance and punctuality
- Must be able to safely lift and carry items weighing 20 to 40 pounds, including trash bags and mop buckets, as part of regular cleaning duties
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods; frequent bending and reaching

X site rules, including restricted area protocols and confidentiality agreements - PPE must be worn as required, including gloves and masks (training provided)
- Must be able to work assigned shift schedule, including weekends or overtime as required by Space
X operations - All team members are expected to demonstrate professionalism and represent both ABM and Space
X positively in the kitchen area - Must be able to frequently ascend and descend stairs and walk long distances throughout the Space
X facility during each shift
