Lab Technician
Job Description
Join our innovative team as a Lab Technician, where you will perform essential in-process and finished product testing to ensure compliance with internal and customer specifications. You will prepare test specimens using advanced injection molding equipment and document any necessary adjustments to production materials.
Your role will include calibration verification, maintenance of laboratory equipment, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the lab and molding areas.
Responsibilities
* Perform required in-process and finished product testing per internal and customer specifications.
* Prepare test specimens using injection molding equipment.
* Evaluate, document, and communicate necessary adjustments to production material that do not meet specifications.
* Thoroughly document and place on quality hold any material not meeting specifications, including additional sampling, inspection, or testing as specified.
* Perform calibration verification and periodic maintenance on laboratory testing equipment.
* Maintain housekeeping in the laboratory and injection molding areas.
Essential Skills
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Proficiency in chemistry, laboratory, and quality control procedures.
* Experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Technical skills in production and document management.
* Good documentation practices and communication skills.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
* Diploma or Certification in Applied Technology strongly preferred.
* Basic laboratory experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
* Associate's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field preferred.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software.
* Project management skills and leadership abilities.
* Willingness to work night shifts and adapt to a flexible schedule.
Work Environment
Work in a dynamic manufacturing laboratory environment on the third shift from Monday to Friday, 10pm to 6am. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brownsville, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
