Summary

Troubleshoots, repairs, builds, and installs plant production and support equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Technician is to safely and efficiently perform top-quality operational duties on a daily basis which include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Bends conduit, pulls wire, and hooks up equipment
  • Maintains machine and support equipment PMs
  • Performs other work related duties and tasks as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor or Group Leader
Supervisory Responsibilities

None.

Qualifications

Trained in use and operation of electrical and hydraulic systems.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical training from the military, vocational/technical school or college. Three years’ experience as a technician in an industrial maintenance department.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend sufficient English to follow work instructions and blueprints. Must be able to communicate well verbally with others.

Mathematical Skills

Basic mathematical skills associated with the position.

Reasoning Ability

Strong reasoning ability to troubleshoot machines. Must work well with little supervision.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must be able to achieve and retain a forklift license.

    Trouble shooting and repairing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and PLCs.

    Responsible for getting lines that go down back to production in a timely manner.
