Position: Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

Overview

Lead. Support. Make an Impact. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the clinical leadership team in our skilled nursing community. This role partners closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and strong nursing team performance
. In the absence of the Director of Nursing, the ADON will assume responsibility for clinical operations
, ensuring continuity of care and effective leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and directing Nursing Services
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations
  • Coordinate and oversee resident care plans in accordance with physician orders
  • Support and supervise nursing staff; reinforce policies and procedures
  • Participate in admissions decisions and pre-admission assessments as needed
  • Attend daily and weekly management meetings related to census, staffing, and resident concerns
  • Maintain high standards for resident care, cleanliness, staffing coverage, and safety
  • Promote pressure injury prevention and optimal resident outcomes
  • Provide leadership coverage in the absence of the Director of Nursing
Qualifications
  • Active RN license in the state of practice (required)
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Minimum 5 years of nursing experience in long-term care or acute care preferred
  • At least 2 years of nursing supervisory experience (required)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
