Turning Machinist

DSM Precision Manufacturing is a 155,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility specializing in precision machining for the Aerospace, Defense, and Motorsports industries. The company operates under rigorous quality standards with certifications including AS9100D, ISO 9001:2015, ITAR, and CMMC Level 2.

This is a full-time, on-site Turning Machinist role located in Brownsburg, IN. Responsibilities include setting up and operating CNC turning machines, interpreting technical drawings, performing quality inspections, and adhering to strict safety and precision standards. The machinist will work closely with team members to meet production goals and ensure the delivery of high-quality, precision components for aerospace, defense, and motorsports applications.

• Proficiency in operating CNC turning machines and experience with related machining equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
• Strong skills in inspection techniques, including the use of precision measurement tools
• Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards in precision machining
• Experience with advanced CNC tools and software, particularly in an Aerospace or Defense manufacturing setting, is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Associate degree or technical certification in machining, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred
