Elementary Teacher

Life Wise Academy is seeking a passionate and mission-driven Life Wise Teacher to share the gospel with public school students in a classroom setting. This role blends strong biblical knowledge with excellent teaching and relational skills to engage both churched and unchurched students. The ideal candidate is an active church participant who is caring, perceptive, and skilled at creating a welcoming, engaging, and redemptive learning environment for children.

• Teach Life Wise classes using the Life Wise curriculum
• Plan lessons and customize curriculum to meet student needs
• Build meaningful relationships with students through encouragement, connection, and prayer
• Create an organized, engaging, and positive classroom environment
• Apply classroom discipline that is redemptive and developmentally appropriate
• Follow Life Wise policies, procedures, and best practices

• Complete the Life Wise Teacher Certification Course prior to teaching
• Participate in the annual Life Wise Summit
• Attend at least one Teachers’ Lounge or Life Wise Meet-Up each year
• Stay current on training and updates through regular Life Wise communications

• Take and submit accurate attendance records
• Maintain class rosters, including health concerns, special needs, and photo permissions
• Prepare lesson plans and materials for substitute teachers as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment
• Follow emergency procedures and safety protocols
• Purchase classroom supplies using program-approved funds

• Serve as a Life Wise Academy ambassador within the school and local community
• Communicate regularly with school personnel regarding schedules and student well-being
• Build and maintain relationships with volunteers
• Submit stories, updates, and photos to the Program Director
• Clearly represent and promote Life Wise Academy’s mission, values, and statement of faith.

• Minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience in a school or church setting
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the Life Wise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active involvement in a local church aligned with Life Wise Academy’s beliefs
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• A heart for working with children and sharing the Gospel
• Retirement plan with employer match.
