Rogers Behavioral Health is looking for a Psychologist to work with our patients and staff. We are looking for someone with strong values in excellence, compassion and accountability who also has a background bringing clinical supervision to staff and treatment to patients!
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Provide expertise in clinical interventions that reflects methods of best practice related to the professional practice of psychology.
- Provide expertise in the development and implementation of trauma informed care practices to milieu and behavior management.
- Provide training, consultation and supervision to staff responsible for the direct care of clients.
- Provide professional psychology direct care services for patients in alignment with minimum care standards as outlined by licensing bodies.
- Promote efficient referrals for services throughout the organization.
- Suggest program revisions based upon patient and staff feedback as well as performance improvement data.
- Participate in hospital committees to promote positive problem-solving and improve services.
- Use knowledge of patient rights to act as patient advocate and to respond to patient grievances.
- Participate in resource evaluation and equipment maintenance.
- Provide clinical supervision and training for inpatient staff and for other professional members of the team as assigned.
- Develop staff trainings on interventions to manage the therapeutic milieu and/or clinical program requirements as necessary.
- Establish systems to monitor the quality and effectiveness of staff, programs and referral services to improve patient care and services, including efforts to improve continuation of the clinical pathway and minimal therapeutic dose.
- Establish documentation audits and establish improvement plans to promote effective treatment across disciplines and meet regulatory requirements.
- Propose departmental policies and procedures to the Director of Nursing and Director of Clinical Services and collaborate on their implementation.
- Support education staff with protocol initiatives.
- Fidelity monitoring of groups and ongoing protocol role out support/training.
- Behavior Specialist training.
- Support and coordinate the mental health components of mental health addiction recovery treatment and protocol.
- Provide direct patient care with physicians and other health care professionals as necessary to meet patient/family treatment needs and expectations.
- Provide individual, family and group psychotherapy as indicated.
- Establish and monitor clinically appropriate assessment to assist with treatment planning and determining appropriate dispositions.
- Provide professional leadership concerning clinical assessment, treatment, management issues and provide consultation/supervision to direct service staff as part of daily interdisciplinary services.
- Support group non-attendance and treatment for protocol non-conforming patients.
- Support with complicated cases and difficult discharge dispositions.
- Request for discharge follow ups – motivational interviewing meetings.
- Mental health technicians and nursing service orientations and training.
- Ongoing in-the-moment trainings on the unit (modeling/coaching).
- Therapeutic milieu support.
- Attend and support debriefs.
- Evaluating patients for psychological and physical safety after critical incidents.
- Behavioral contract development and implementation.
- Utilize and encourage utilization of patient outcome measures to drive recommendations for care. Monitor and share program outcomes to ensure health of the clinical programming offered.
- Support outcomes and pair packet initiatives, ROAS training, incorporating outcomes in treatment.
- MOCA, Trauma evals, special consults, functional assessments.
- Demonstrate understanding of regulatory agency compliance regulations.
- PhD or PsyD degree.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience.
- Licensed in the State of Wisconsin and in good standing with the respective licensing board.
- Specialization in child and adolescent services, addiction recovery, and/or adult mental health recovery (multiple specialties preferred).
- Excellent communication skills, customer focus, proficiency, leadership ability, and professional integrity.
- Electronic medical record software experience.
- Ability to work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced detail-oriented environment while adhering to deadlines.
