Field Specialist - Tubular Running Services
We're looking for a Field Specialist to support our Tubular Running Services (TRS) operations. This is a hands-on role where you'll work with Weatherford's tools and equipment before, during, and after rig operations. You'll be involved in equipment testing, inventory checks, running tools on site, and supporting post-job maintenance. Depending on your experience level, you may also step in to guide junior team members or troubleshoot more complex technical issues.
This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in fast-changing field environments. You ll follow Weatherford s established procedures, support the Rig Systems Specialist on location, and help deliver consistent, high-quality service to our clients.
What You'll Do- Support tubular running operations alongside the Rig Systems Specialist
- Assist with equipment testing, inspection, and preparation before jobs
- Help complete post-job maintenance and planning for equipment returns
- Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures
- Provide accurate job-related information and documentation to the operations team
- Operate and maintain TRS equipment in the field or at the R&M facility
- Communicate effectively with shorebase, especially during equipment issues or NPT events
- Depending on experience, mentor junior field specialists or support operations independently when needed
- 2+ years of Tubular Running Services experience
- 2+ years of related oil and gas industry experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment
- Comfortable using a laptop and basic Microsoft Office programs
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year college degree preferred
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a TWIC if needed
- Physically able to perform field work and operate tools/equipment
- Good reading, writing, and communication skills
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to stay organized, manage time well, and follow established processes
- Service-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering quality
This position requires extensive travel, up to 100%, depending on operational needs.
