Job Description

Complete Logistical Services (CLS) is excited to announce a vacancy for a diligent and experienced Dredge Technician in Broussard, LA. This is a Full-Time, temp-to-hire position requiring the candidate to travel frequently within the United States. As part of our dynamic team, you will be operating specialized dredge equipment in various types of waters and secured locations across the country.

This role is not eligible for remote work and necessitates extensive travel and long periods away from home, including working during holidays. Candidates should be ready to work under diverse weather conditions and handle tasks both in and around marine equipment like dredge barges and push boats. This role demands rigorous field engagement and is suited for individuals who thrive in challenging environments.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Operate specialized dredge equipment in various aquatic settings.
  • Maintain and control the operation of push boats, hydraulic units, and centrifugal pumps.
  • Engage in the setup and movement of equipment at work sites.
  • Stay aware of and comply with environmental and other regulations applicable to dredging operations.
  • Record and report daily logs, manage GPS tracking and maintain field tickets using laptop computers and other devices.
  • Upon reaching sufficient skill level and training, operate cranes and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on all assigned equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Closely work with teams to plan, coordinate, and execute field operations effectively.
  • Ensure safety practices are followed meticulously to prevent incidents and accidents.
  • Communicate with project managers and other stakeholders to provide updates and receive instructions.
Requirements
  • Proven experience with equipment maintenance: 2 years
  • Experience in oilfield fracking operations: 2 years
  • Demonstrated proficiency in pipeline flushing: 2 years
  • Hands‑on experience with operating small or large dredge units: 2 years
  • Ability to travel frequently and stay away from home for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work in varying climatic conditions and during non‑standard hours and holidays.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • A commitment to maintaining safety and operational standards.
  • High level of physical fitness and stamina required for handling demanding field duties.
  • Technical proficiency in using GPS systems and computers for logging and tracking purposes.
