Customer Delivery Driver - Broughton Chester Extra

Join Tesco in delivering excellent service to our customers. As a Customer Delivery Driver, you will be the face of our brand on the road and play a key role in ensuring our customers receive their parcels safely and warmly.

Pay: Starting at £13.35 an hour, increasing to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.

We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, with flexibility for those who prefer as few as 12 hours.

• Ensure the van and trays are clean and tidy.
• Maintain the back yard clean and free of litter.
• Participate in the tray wash process.
• Load the van and check its roadworthiness.
• Communicate with customers about order changes, substitutions and refunds.
• Care for products and deliveries as if they were your own.
• Confirm customers will not incur additional charges for substitutions.
• Deliver within the customer’s allocated time slot.
• Call the customer before arrival if they are early.
• Notify the store if you are 30 minutes or more late.

• Build strong relationships with colleagues to foster team spirit and store excellence.
• Exude warmth and friendliness in all interactions with customers and teammates.
• Respond quickly to changing customer needs and adapt to new situations.
• Display high energy and enthusiasm to exceed expectations.
• Brainstorm improvements with management and peers.
• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) with less than 3 penalty points and held for at least 12 months.
