SEND Teaching Assistant. Astley Education & Training

We are currently recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist SEND school in Leicester
, supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with SEND and helping them to thrive in a nurturing and structured environment.

• Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
• Supporting pupils with communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Supporting with personal care where required
• Following EHCPs, behaviour plans, and safeguarding procedures

• Passion for working in a SEND setting
• Previous experience working with children with SEND (preferred)
• Calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
