Nursing Services Manager

The Manager of Nursing Services is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the nursing department within a healthcare facility. They provide leadership and direction to nursing staff, ensure adherence to policies and procedures, manage budgets and resources, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. Additionally, they may be involved in recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of nursing staff, as well as strategic planning and quality improvement initiatives.

• Assisting the Nurse Manager in overseeing daily operations of nursing unit or department
• Providing guidance and support to nursing staff, including mentoring and coaching
• Ensuring adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care
• Participating in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of nursing staff
• Assisting with staff scheduling and ensuring adequate coverage Nurse Leader rounding on both patients and team members
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Monitoring patient outcomes and participating in quality improvement initiatives
• Serving as a resource for nursing staff regarding clinical questions and concerns
• Handling patient and family complaints or issues, and resolving conflicts as needed
• Assisting with staff education and training programs
• Participating in meetings, committees and other hospital initiatives as required
• Keeping informed of current trends, research, and best practices in nursing management and healthcare delivery
• Risk Management reporting

• Bachelor's Degree Nursing

• Registered Nurse License

• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS

• Five (5) years' experience as a Registered Nurse
