PCU​/Stepdown RN — Cardiac Telemetry; Nights

Overview

Join a 46-bed Cardiac PCU/Stepdown (3rd floor) where 100% of patients are on telemetry
. Typical cases:
Afib, RVR, pre/post-cath
, and cardiac comorbidities. Standard ratios 4–5:1 (may flex to 5–6). Night shift nurses here own rapid rhythm recognition, tight handoffs, and smooth throughput for a high-growth hospital.

Perform focused cardiac assessments and continuous telemetry
/rhythm interpretation; escalate promptly.

Manage meds and non-titrating drips
; document responses and adverse events accurately.

Coordinate diagnostics/consults; partner on throughput, discharge readiness, and readmission reduction
.

Educate patients/families on HF zones, anticoagulation safety, post-cath expectations, and follow-up.

Uphold core measures and safety bundles (falls, infection prevention) and deliver clean, concise handoffs.

Active Florida RN (or compact; obtain active FL within 60 days if compact).

1+ year RN experience (
acute care required
).

AHA BLS at start.

ASN/ADN or Nursing Diploma (BSN preferred).

LTACH, Home Health, or Rehab backgrounds with solid acute-care readiness.

Base: $30.76–$41.50/hr (experience-based).

Sign-On: $15k Nights • $10k Days (structured payout as above).

Relocation: Case-by-case.
