Our Organization and Mission:
The five Regional Counsel offices were created by the Legislature pursuant to Section 27.511, Fla. Stat. in 2007 to provide legal representation to indigent persons in criminal conflict cases where the Public Defender has a conflict or in cases where there are multiple co-defendants. The Office of Regional Counsel Office, Fifth District (RC5) serves 4 judicial circuits and 13 counties, including Hernando County.
Criminal Defense Attorney - The Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel, 5th District (RC5), is seeking full time criminal defense attorneys in our Brooksville, Hernando County Office. If you want to litigate felony cases before juries, then this is the job for you. The primary objective of the attorney is to provide the most effective representation possible for indigent clients.
Must be a member in good standing with The Florida Bar or scheduled to take the February 2026 Bar exam.
