Job SummaryWe are excited to offer current college students an immersive experience through our Aggregate Internship Development Program. This 10‑week program, starting in May of each calendar year, is designed to provide hands‑on experience and a deep understanding of our operations within the Aggregate division. As an IDP, you will be exposed to various critical areas, including the core Aggregate functions of Mine Planning, Process Improvements, Quality and Reliability, Inventory Maintenance, and Data Management.
Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Cemex USA Intern, your summer will be filled with opportunities to learn, contribute, and grow. Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Safety First:
Safety is at the core of Cemex’s operations. You’ll learn about our safety protocols and play an active role in promoting and ensuring a safe working environment. - Project‑Based
Experience:
Engage in challenging projects that give a comprehensive view of our Aggregate operations. Work alongside experienced professionals to solve real‑world problems and drive meaningful change. - Skill Building:
Develop both technical and soft skills through hands‑on work and continuous learning opportunities. Refine presentation skills by sharing project outcomes with our leadership team. - Networking and
Collaboration:

Bring forward innovative solutions that contribute to continuous improvement of our processes.
We are looking for students who are eager to explore the world of end‑to‑end Aggregate operations and make the most of this learning opportunity. Ideal candidates will have:
- Educational Foundation:
Active pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Geology, or a related field, with at least junior year standing. - Academic Performance: A GPA of 2.5 or above, preference for 3.0 or higher.
- Leadership Potential:
Demonstrated leadership qualities and a proactive approach to problem‑solving. - Communication
Skills:
Strong analytical and communication abilities, with the ability to present ideas clearly. - Technical Proficiency:
Experience from internships, co‑ops, or university projects. - Team
Collaboration:
Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Work Schedule:
Full‑time, on‑site internship with a 40‑hour work week, typically Monday through Friday. - Environment:
Mix of office work and fieldwork, exposure to varying environmental conditions, including outdoor settings.
- Industry Exposure:
