Position Title: Machine Operator
Department: Various
Location: Brooklyn, OH
Reports To: Production Supervisor
Classification: Hourly - Non-Exempt
Position SummaryThis position will operate specialty machinery to fabricate, manufacture, assemble, or move products. PPE such as safety glasses and hearing protection are required at all times.
EssentialJob Duties
- Must be capable of performing the duties of one or all of: CNC, Transfer, Mikron, Excello machines and various secondary processes
- As directed, inspect machined parts visually and using less complex gauges
- Operate, as required to load, unload and move raw materials and finished parts and tooling, various material handling equipment
- Maintain records as required
- Visually inspect parts
- Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area including removing chips from machines as required
- Perform sorting and rework as required or directed
- Perform and document P.M. as required
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- 1 + years' experience as Machine Operator (preferred but not necessary).
- Minimum six (6) months manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience with power and hand tools a plus
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of production procedures
- Knowledge of safe machine practice standards
- Attention to detail
- Basic math skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong commitment to quality and safety
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Fast paced production environment
- Position requires concentration, accuracy and focused mental effort
- Works in plant environment with exposure to plant heat, moderate noise, dust, dirt and fumes
- The employee frequently is required to stand; use hands to grasp, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
