Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Fleet Controller plays an integral role within our Construction Division. This position is responsible for the day‑to‑day planning, scheduling and coordination of the fleet and drivers, while also providing essential administrative support to ensure efficient and compliant operations.

You will drive efficiencies in the utilisation of company trailing equipment, maintain accurate records, manage documentation, and support reporting and compliance requirements. This role suits someone who enjoys a mix of operational coordination and administrative duties, and who can confidently manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

• Coordinate all loading and unloading of company and subcontractor vehicles in an efficient and timely manner
• Schedule and position company trailing equipment to maximise utilisation and operational efficiency
• Manage customer bookings and provide day‑to‑day service support
• Ensure clear and effective communication between drivers, customers and internal teams
• Review, approve and accurately enter driver run sheets into relevant systems
• Review and manage vehicle and trailer documentation, including servicing, maintenance and compliance requirements
• Maintain accurate records and support reporting, compliance and operational administration
• Ensure a safe working environment in line with road compliance laws, workplace legislation and company safety policies
• Carry out general administrative tasks and miscellaneous on‑site duties as directed

• Experience in allocating and scheduling construction/heavy haulage equipment is preferred
• Strong commitment to Safety and demonstrated positive safety leadership
• Intermediate computer and data entry skills
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work autonomously or within a team environment
• Comprehensive fleet allocation and load planning skills
• Professional manner in dealing with customers
• A good work ethic and ability to meet deadlines
• Willing to be flexible with varying start times
• Forklift Licence preferred but not essential
