Fleet Trainer

Trainers are a direct reflection of First Student’s commitment to safety and customer service . This role is responsible for training employees and educating staff on safety practices and compliance requirements.

$28.00 per hour

The Trainer provides classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction to new and existing operators, supports ongoing safety education for location personnel, and ensures training activities meet company standards and regulatory requirements.

• Provide classroom and behind-the-wheel training to new operators
• Conduct retraining and refresher training for current operators
• Deliver safety and operational training to location personnel
• Track training attendance and maintain required training documentation in accordance with company policy and regulations
• Support safety initiatives, including:
• Accident investigations
• Completion of compliance forms
• Participation in safety meetings

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–3 years of training experience
• 1–3 years of transportation, safety, or related experience
• Knowledge of federal and state safety and environmental regulations
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Consistent attendance and punctuality
• Must possess a reliable personal vehicle to travel within the service area as needed

• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical
• DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason
