Trainers are a direct reflection of First Student’s commitment to safety and customer service . This role is responsible for training employees and educating staff on safety practices and compliance requirements.
Pay Rate$28.00 per hour
Position OverviewThe Trainer provides classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction to new and existing operators, supports ongoing safety education for location personnel, and ensures training activities meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Provide classroom and behind-the-wheel training to new operators
- Conduct retraining and refresher training for current operators
- Deliver safety and operational training to location personnel
- Track training attendance and maintain required training documentation in accordance with company policy and regulations
- Support safety initiatives, including:
- Accident investigations
- Completion of compliance forms
- Participation in safety meetings
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of training experience
- 1–3 years of transportation, safety, or related experience
- Knowledge of federal and state safety and environmental regulations
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Consistent attendance and punctuality
- Must possess a reliable personal vehicle to travel within the service area as needed
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical
- DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason
