Overview
NY Mets Baseball & Softball Camps is hiring a seasonal Summer Camp Site Director for youth baseball and softball camps across the New York Metropolitan Tristate Area. The Site Director provides leadership and enthusiasm to ensure campers leave camp with a love of the game, new friends, better skills, and an appreciation for personal accountability.
ResponsibilitiesThe Site Director is directly responsible for managing and motivating a team of 15+ staff members while executing NY Mets Camps Operations Standards during camp weeks. Key duties include:
- Ensuring a safe camp environment for staff, campers, and parents.
- Leading camp‑wide meetings to instill culture and expectations for campers and coaches.
- Communicating with parents and headquarters regarding issues that may arise.
- Supervising and managing staff and campers to deliver a high‑level camp experience.
The ideal candidate must:
- Be an experienced leader, self‑starter, and excellent communicator.
- Pass a comprehensive background and reference check.
- Have at least one year experience managing a group of people.
- Have a polished professional with demonstrated leadership ability and extensive management experience.
- Be prepared to travel to all sites in Long Island, Brooklyn, or Connecticut with reliable transportation.
- Be familiar with the basic fundamentals of baseball.
- Be able to attend all‑staff training.
Work outdoors all summer in the Metropolitan Tristate Area (CT, NY, & NJ). Free tickets to select New York Mets home games. Build valuable leadership experience representing a global brand. Lead the camper reunion event at Citi Field with current/former Mets players. Join an incredible team of like‑minded, passionate people.

- Huntington, NY
- Brooklyn, NY
- Bayside, NY
- Elmont, NY
- Smithtown, NY
- Rye, NY
The locations will be divided into two teams.
Interview Process1. Submit application.
2. Receive invitation to complete a one‑way interview.
3. Complete a 15‑minute virtual interview with the recruiter.
4. Complete a 20‑minute virtual interview with the Executive Director.
Pay is based on skill level and experience. The weekly range for this position is $1,300 to $1,600 per week.
