Position: Acute Wound Healing Specialist (Long Island, NY)

Acute Wound Healing Specialist – About This Role

Solventum enables clinicians to advance healing. In this role you will serve as the consultative wound healing expert and primary contact for hospital wound care decision makers. You’ll educate clinicians, drive adoption of Solventum solutions, expand therapy utilization and coordinate patient transition of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with clinicians on the safe and effective use of Solventum products.
  • Attend procedures and placements in the hospital care setting.
  • Deliver business growth through sales targets via account and territory management.
  • Identify and solve customer financial and clinical priorities.
  • Educate clinicians, including servicing, on product use.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clinical and economic stakeholders.
  • Use clinical and economic evidence to advocate for and grow therapy adoption, including advanced solutions and new product introductions.
  • Persuade stakeholders to adopt proposed solutions and products.
  • Provide customer support and service.
  • Demonstrate proficiency upon successful completion of the sales training program.
  • Leverage company software for planning, pipeline management, and utilization tracking.
  • Represent Solventum at conferences, trade shows, and symposiums.
Requirements

Driving Requirements: This position requires the use of a personal vehicle for company business and participation in Solventum’s Fixed and Variable Reimbursement (FAVR) program. Candidates must complete a pre‑hire motor vehicle record review and maintain ongoing eligibility and compliance with Solventum’s driver policy and insurance requirements.

Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with 2 years of sales and/or clinical experience, OR a high school diploma/GED with 4 years of sales and/or clinical experience. Additional required qualifications include experience with Microsoft Office applications, a current valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven track record of sales quota and target attainment.
  • Prior wound care or medical device sales experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building strong customer relationships with key influencers.
  • Proven experience in territory management and business planning.
  • Strong understanding of clinical value drivers across care areas.
  • Customer‑focused selling and closing skills.
  • Experience navigating complex selling cycles.
  • Completion of a formal sales training program.
  • Experience using a CRM such as Salesforce.
  • Experience with new product introductions and the value analysis process.
  • Outstanding data and analytical skills.
Additional Requirements

You may be required to enter healthcare or third‑party facilities that may require certain licenses, vaccinations, or other credentials. Solventum will share your information with relevant providers in accordance with applicable law.

Work Location & Travel

Work location:

Remote (Long Island, NY). Field‑based role with up to 20% overnight travel. Relocation assistance may be authorized. Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits

Expected compensation range: $134,300 – $173,800 (includes base pay and variable incentive pay, if eligible). Benefits include medical, dental & vision, health savings account, flexible spending accounts, disability benefits, life insurance, voluntary benefits, paid absences and retirement benefits.
