Position OverviewAs a Deli Manager you will oversee all aspects of the deli department, ensuring top-notch service, quality products, and a smooth, efficient operation. You’ll lead a team of deli associates, manage inventory, maintain high food safety standards, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, train, and supervise deli department staff to ensure excellent customer service and efficiency.
- Ensure that all deli & production products meet high standards of quality and freshness by working closely with our kitchen manager.
- Manage inventory, including ordering products, receiving deliveries, and maintaining stock levels to reduce waste.
- Monitor daily department operations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, health regulations, and cleanliness.
- Assist customers with orders, special requests, and product recommendations.
- Achieve sales goals, maintain budgetary controls, and reduce waste while maximizing department profitability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked deli department, ensuring all products are properly labeled and priced.
- Work closely with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues regarding product quality or pricing.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
- 1+ years of experience in retail or food service management, ideally in a deli or grocery setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling of perishable products.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
