Position OverviewThe ADON / Risk Management Nurse (RN) supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations while leading the facility’s risk management and quality assurance initiatives. This role plays a critical part in ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing risk exposure, and promoting resident safety and clinical excellence.
ADON / Risk Management Nurse (RN) Key Responsibilities Clinical LeadershipAssist the Director of Nursing in daily clinical operations
Provide supervision, guidance, and support to nursing staff
Participate in staffing oversight and performance management
Promote clinical best practices and adherence to standards of care
Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses
Monitor and track adverse events, trends, and corrective actions
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Support survey readiness and coordinate responses to audits
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to reduce liability exposure
Participate in QAPI initiatives
Analyze clinical data and implement performance improvement plans
Monitor infection control, falls prevention, wound care, and medication management programs
Active and unencumbered RN license
Prior experience in skilled nursing or long-term care
Leadership experience (ADON, Unit Manager, or similar role preferred)
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and risk management practices
Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Proven ability to lead teams and drive clinical outcomes
Up to $145,000 per year
