Qualifications:

• Education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Licensure: Active New York State Nurse Practitioner License (Required).
• Certification: Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Experience: At least one (1) year of experience in an outpatient or clinic setting, with a primary focus on ambulatory care, is required.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients in an Article 28 facility setting.
• Conduct patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and therapies within the NP scope of practice.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention.
