  • Shift: Day Shift
  • Shift Time: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Job Summary:

The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing programs to improve patient care quality and employee performance. This role includes monitoring clinical performance, collaborating with Nurse Managers to assess unit operations, and supporting corrective actions when necessary. The Nurse Supervisor will also develop and maintain record-keeping systems related to medication errors and staff counseling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and develop initiatives to enhance patient care and staff performance
  • Monitor and evaluate patient care delivery and staff compliance
  • Collaborate with Nurse Managers to assess unit operations
  • Communicate and assist with corrective action plans as needed
  • Develop and maintain documentation systems for medication errors and counseling
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of nursing experience
  • At least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role

Education

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing

Certifications & Licensure

Required:

  • Active RN License
  • Registration as a Registered Professional Nurse with NYS Department of Education (NYSED)
  • BLS Certification

Compensation

  • Travel Pay: $4,506.76 weekly (equivalent to $112.67/hr)
  • Local Pay: $102/hr
