Job Summary:

The ICU Registered Nurse provides high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients, utilizing clinical expertise and evidence-based practice to support patient stabilization and recovery in an intensive care setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in accordance with established clinical protocols.

• Perform ongoing assessments and monitor patient responses to treatment and interventions.

• Administer medications, IV therapies, and sedation safely and accurately.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to implement and evaluate care plans.

• Document patient care and clinical findings accurately and timely.

• Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and emergency situations.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Critical Care (ICU) experience

• Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience

• Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience

Education:

Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Required

Certifications

• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)

• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

License

• New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License – Required

• Primary Source Verification of RN License and Registration from NYSED – Required
