Description
This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a medical-surgical setting.
Located in Brooklyn, NY, it is a contract role with responsibilities including patient assessment, care planning, and coordination.
The role requires proficiency in managing various surgical patients and related technologies.
Requirements
Two years of experience in a medical-surgical setting.
Proficiency in managing a variety of surgical patients including orthopedic, vascular, urology, and bariatric.
Competence in handling vent/tracheostomy, gastrostomy tubes, and wound care management.
Ability to supervise and delegate tasks to other nursing personnel.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage stressful situations effectively.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
Qualifications
Current and valid Registered Nurse license.
Minimum of two years of experience in a medical-surgical environment.
Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
Experience in patient assessment and care coordination.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Participation in quality improvement activities.
Involvement in professional and community organizations.
