Rewrite Community Food Distribution (Prep for Distribution)
Rewrite Corporation is seeking dedicated volunteers to join our
Friday Prep & Sorting Team
to help prepare for our weekly community food distribution. This vital role ensures that our Saturday giveaway runs smoothly and that every family receives quality food and care.
- Assist with unloading and organizing food deliveries.
- Sort and separate produce, pantry items, and dry goods for next-day distribution.
- Check expiration dates and ensure all items meet safety standards.
- Pack food boxes and bags efficiently and neatly.
- Help maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with other volunteers and follow directions from team leaders.
Population Served Families, Homeless, Immigrants, Refugees or Ethnic Groups, LGBT (Lesbian, Gay,Bisexual,Transgender), Low-income communities, Military/Veterans, Offenders/Ex-offenders, People with Disabilities, People with Health-based Concerns, Youth
