Job Summary:

Project Manager – NYDOE ATLAS Application

Responsibilities
  • Role:
    Project Manager for the Accessible Tool for Learning About Students (ATLAS) application at the New York Department of Education (NYDOE).
  • Location:

    Brooklyn, NY (onsite).
  • Duration: 2 years base, with a possibility of 2 additional years.
  • Client Interaction:
    Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring effective and continuous communication.
  • Project Oversight:
    Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Business Process Analysis:
    Analyze business processes, assess performance, and recommend improvements.
  • Team Leadership:
    Lead engineering teams, assign tasks, and ensure timely delivery of all project deliverables.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Review and approve deliverables to ensure they meet project plans and quality standards.
  • Meeting Management:
    Organize and facilitate client, stakeholder, and internal team meetings, including daily stand-ups and weekly status updates.
  • Reporting:
    Prepare and submit weekly status reports detailing project progress, challenges, risks, and next steps.
  • Risk Management:

    Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 12 years of project management experience, preferably with software and engineering teams.
  • Specialized experience with the ATLAS application.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Degree in Project Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
Preferred Skills
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and large-scale projects.
