Job Title: Hybrid Program Manager/Project Manager (Anti-Vaping/ Youth Substance Abuse)

Pay Rate: $47.00/hr. on W2 with some benefits
Note:- Fingerprinting Fees:
- $102.75 (mandatory and refundable within one month of joining) - Shift Timings:
- Staggered schedule contingent on employee & supervisor discretion e.g.: 8:00AM - 4:00PM, 8:30AM - 4:30PM, 9:00AM - 5:00PM, 9:30AM - 5:30PM. However, employees must work the same number of hours each day, five days a week, and report to work every day at the same time.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education, public health, youth development, social work, public administration, or a related field

- The Office of School Wellness Programs (OSWP), is seeking a dynamic, Anti-Vaping District Support Manager Consultant to support the implementation and coordination of student-centered vaping prevention and wellness initiatives across NYC Public Schools.
- The Consultant will serve as a key liaison between central offices, districts, schools, and community stakeholders, ensuring that OSWP-led wellness initiatives and OSYD-led student engagement strategies are aligned, equitable, and community-informed.
- This role emphasizes cross-office collaboration, culturally responsive programming, data-informed implementation, and the integration of youth voice and leadership in citywide anti-vaping use campaigns.
- Field Support & Relationship Building.
- Act as the primary point of contact for schools, districts, staff, and Division of School Leadership Chiefs related to OSWP vaping prevention and wellness efforts.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with OSYD's SAPIS workers, peer advisory councils, and student leadership groups to support implementation of joint initiatives, including but not limited to broader health and physical education programming.
- Observe and support vaping prevention implementation in the field, providing direct feedback and technical assistance to district teams and schools whilst keeping OSWP Leadership abreast of any trends, and recommending escalation to DSL chiefs.
- Support schools and districts in aligning with the NYCPS Wellness Policy and strengthening School Wellness Councils (SWC), documenting to share best practices through OSWP communication tools and systems.
- Assist district-based personnel with disseminating information and resources about vaping prevention efforts, physical education, and health education programming, partnerships, and initiatives.
- Share field insights with OSWP and OSYD teams to continuously improve program relevance and effectiveness.
- Program Implementation &
Collaboration: - Plan and implement daily and annual work streams such as recruitment, communications, training, data analysis, and engagement around partnerships and programs, especially as related to vaping prevention efforts.
- Collaborate effectively with OSWP, OSYD, and field staff to strengthen programs and relationships with external partners and co-develop student events and peer leadership opportunities that integrate wellness and substance use prevention messaging.
- Support the recruitment, training, and engagement of school- and district-based wellness champions.
- Under the guidance of the OSWP Director of Equitable Program Implementation, work with OSWP content teams to implement initiatives that support all NYCPS schools and districts in developing quality vaping prevention measures, health, and physical education programs that meet NYSED requirements and support student achievement.
- Work with OSWP and OSYD to align curriculum, campaigns, and training materials for coherence and impact.
- Lead the execution of citywide implementation of student-designed anti-vaping campaigns, ensuring accessibility and cultural responsiveness across communities.
- Contributes to the execution of program implementation by utilizing tools and strategies that support ongoing monitoring, data-informed adjustments, and alignment with key project milestones.
- Supports implementation efforts by capturing outcomes, identifying effective practices, and assisting in the development of reports that inform continuous improvement and strategic planning.
- Community Engagement:
- Develops and manages partnerships with schools, parents, community groups, and outside organizations to strengthen program support.
- Engage with district teams throughout the program to gather feedback and make improvements, strengthening community connections and impact.
- Organizes opportunities for parents and guardians to stay involved and connected to programs and resources.
- Support the engaging of families, FACE teams, local stakeholders, and Chancellor's Advisory Councils to promote parent/Client awareness and involvement in wellness and prevention efforts.
