Site Operations Lead

Upway is a fast-growing, Sequoia-backed startup building the world’s largest marketplace for refurbished e-bikes. Having refurbished over 100,000 e-bikes in just three years, they are on a mission to reach 1 million by 2030.

To get there, we need a relentless, execution-focused leader to own the NYC UpCenter, Upway’s flagship U.S. location.

This is a cornerstone position with full accountability for one of their largest frontline teams. If you have a business-first mindset, thrive in the detail of daily operations, and are a natural carrier of a high-performance culture, this is your next challenge.

• Build, lead, and scale a team of managers, operations coordinators, and bike mechanics to support rapid growth.
• Own site-level performance end to end, including productivity, cost control, and delivery against daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical solutions to improve throughput, quality, and efficiency, working closely with Central Ops and the New Jersey site.
• Act as the culture carrier, setting standards for discipline, consistency, and execution while developing top performers and addressing underperformance decisively.

• 6+ years’ experience in Operations, Site Management, Warehouse, Fulfillment, or large-team environments.
• A track record of leading large teams and solving day-to-day operational challenges with high judgement and minimal process overhead.
• You bring momentum, positivity, and urgency. Low energy is a deal breaker.
• You are comfortable being fully accountable for results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
