Seeking an Experienced Litigation Associate
Please read the instructions to apply carefully. APPLICATIONS RECEIVED THROUGH THIS SYSTEM THAT DO NOT FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
About the FirmDo you want to help business owners resolve complex, high-stakes business disputes?
We are an entrepreneurial business litigation law firm on track for aggressive growth. We represent business owners, partners, shareholders, and employers in sophisticated commercial disputes. Our work requires precision, judgment, resilience, and ownership.
We are intentional about our culture. We do not operate in a blame-driven, drama-filled, Oregon-based environment. We expect our attorneys to take responsibility for outcomes, approach challenges as opportunities for growth, and contribute positively to the team.
If you are looking for a firm where problems are blamed on others, feedback is taken personally, or conflict is avoided or escalated emotionally, this is not the right environment for you.
The RoleWe are seeking an experienced commercial litigation associate to join our team and work directly with the Managing Attorney and senior attorneys. This role requires the ability to manage matters from pre-litigation through trial with minimal supervision and a high degree of professionalism and accountability.
This is not a training role. This is a role for an attorney who already knows how to litigate and is prepared to own their work, their growth, and their results.
Key Responsibilities- Execute assigned legal tasks under the direction of the Managing Attorney or Senior Litigation Associate.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery materials, and other court filings.
- Assist with deposition preparation, trial preparation, and litigation strategy execution.
- Participate in court appearances and client communications as required and under supervision.
- Follow established case strategy, firm policies, and procedural requirements.
- Promptly receive, process, and implement feedback to improve work product.
- Produce high-quality work that meets firm standards while taking increasing ownership over assigned matters.
- You take ownership of your work, outcomes, and professional development.
- You focus on solutions and results, not blame, excuses, or complaints.
- You receive feedback as a tool for growth, not as criticism or personal attack.
- You view challenges, pressure, and accountability as part of being a professional—not as threats.
- You communicate directly, professionally, and constructively, even in high-conflict situations.
- You consistently follow firm policies, procedures, and supervisory direction.
- You manage your time, workload, and responsibilities without needing hand holding.
- You are collaborative and contribute positively to team morale.
- You do not engage in drama, triangulation, or victim-oriented thinking.
- You are resilient, grounded, and emotionally steady under pressure.
If your default reaction to difficulty is defensiveness, blame, or withdrawal, you will not be successful here.
Qualifications- Minimum five (5–7) years of commercial/business litigation experience.
- Ability to manage a caseload from pre-litigation through trial.
- Trial experience is a plus.
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Professional judgment and discretion in client-facing matters.
- Salary range: $195,000 – $215,000
- Opportunity for bonus compensation based on demonstrated profitability and performance.
- Full‑time position with meaningful responsibility and long‑term growth potential.
