Transactional Paralegal
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday through Friday, Standard Business Hours
Salary: Based on Experience
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Transactional Paralegal to join our law firm based in Brooklyn, NY. This role supports attorneys in a busy transactional practice and is ideal for a paralegal with strong experience in real estate transactions. The Transactional Paralegal will play a key role in managing documents, coordinating closings, and ensuring that transactions move efficiently from start to finish.
The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and comfortable handling multiple matters simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism. Experience with real estate transactions is strongly preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesTransactional & Real Estate Support
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of real estate and other transactional matters
- Prepare, review, and organize transactional documents, contracts, closing binders, and exhibits
- Draft routine legal documents and correspondence under attorney supervision
- Coordinate real estate closings, including scheduling, document execution, and post-closing follow-up
Document Management & Due Diligence
- Conduct due diligence reviews and organize related materials
- Maintain and manage physical and electronic files to ensure accuracy and accessibility
- Track deadlines, closing dates, and transaction milestones
Client & Third-Party Coordination
- Communicate with clients, lenders, title companies, brokers, and opposing counsel as needed
- Request, receive, and organize information and documentation from clients and third parties
- Provide updates to attorneys regarding transaction status
Administrative & Case Support
- Assist with filings, record requests, and document submissions
- Support attorneys with billing coordination and matter tracking
- Perform additional transactional and administrative tasks as required
Required Qualifications
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal experience
- Prior experience as a transactional paralegal
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Real estate transactional experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with purchase and sale agreements, leases, closings, and title documentation
- Experience working in a law firm environment
