OTI's Applications Division is seeking a Training Manager who will be responsible for independently designing and delivering training for Citywide applications and platforms, while also supporting the Division's Business Operations unit. The ideal candidate is a self-directed instructional design professional who can work closely with subject-matter experts to develop effective training, while also learning and supporting City administrative processes in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities will include:
* Design, develop, and deliver training programs for Citywide applications and platforms built and supported by the Applications Division.
* Lead training efforts for the City's content management systems (CMS), including Team Site and the transition to Adobe, for both technical and non-technical users.
* Develop and maintain high-quality training materials, including instructor-led sessions, virtual training, e-learning content, job aids, and reference documentation.
* Own and manage the Applications Division's internal wiki, ensuring documentation is accurate, current, well-organized, and aligned with development and support practices.
* Work independently with product owners, developers, and other SMEs to translate complex technical systems into clear, accessible training.
* Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve content based on feedback, usage data, and evolving system functionality.
* Support the Applications Division's Business Operations unit, including HR coordination, onboarding/offboarding, procurement tracking, and vendor management activities.
* Assist with operational processes such as contract management, purchase requests, and coordination with central agency partners.
* Serve as backup to the Business Operations Manager, ensuring continuity of operations and adherence to City policies and procedures.
* Handle special projects and initiatives as assigned.
HOURS/SHIFT
Day - Due to the necessary duties of this position in a 24/7 operation, candidate may be required to work various shifts such as weekends and/or nights/evenings.
