Job Summary
The eGIS Change Management Specialist supports the rollout of an enterprise Geographic Information System (eGIS) initiative by contributing to change management efforts that drive user adoption and engagement. This role focuses on developing and delivering clear, engaging training and communications to enable end users to effectively utilize GIS mapping tools. The Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to ensure consistent messaging, high-quality content, and successful organizational change outcomes.
Job Responsibilities- Develop and execute communication and training strategies aligned with project objectives and change management plans.
- Support adoption of GIS mapping applications, with a primary focus on ArcFM Designer XI.
- Collaborate with change management partners, development teams, and subject matter experts to identify training and communication needs.
- Create and maintain user-facing content, including demo videos, job aids, newsletters, intranet pages, and collaboration platform content.
- Lead content review cycles by proofreading and editing materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.
- Manage content calendars to ensure timely delivery and updates across project phases.
- Monitor content performance using analytics and prepare insights and summary reports.
- Stay informed on emerging tools, technologies, and best practices in content development and employee engagement.
- Provide support for additional eGIS change management initiatives as needed.
- Hands-on experience with GIS tools, including Arc Map and/or ArcGIS.
- Proven experience developing training materials such as job aids, demo videos, and self-guided learning resources.
- Experience supporting organizational change initiatives.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience contributing to large-scale projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and time management skills.
- Ability to learn new tools and concepts quickly and apply them effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
