As a Senior Android Product Designer dedicated to the Search experience, you will play a critical role in how millions of users discover and find what they love on the Android platform. You will own the end-to-end design of our search journeys, from initial query input to results refinement and zero-state strategies.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Android’s Senior Product Design Manager. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.

For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States. Candidates living within commutable distance of Etsy’s Brooklyn Office Hub or in the San Francisco Bay Area may be the first to be considered. For candidates within commutable distance, Etsy requires in-office attendance once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. You will be embedded in a cross-functional Search Squad alongside a Product Manager, 4-6 Engineers (including Android specialists), a Researcher, and a Data Analyst. Your mission will be to improve the discovery funnel and increase customer conversion and engagement through exceptional design.

• Driving Discovery:
  Leading the initial phases of product work, running workshops, and helping define product requirements and design strategy specifically for the Android platform.

• Search Innovation:
  Designing and iterating on complex user flows for core search functions, including query building, results page interaction, filtering, and visual search features.

• Testing & Validation:
  Creating high-fidelity Android-native prototypes and testing hypotheses directly with users to collect feedback and validate design decisions.

• Experimentation:
  Partnering with Engineering and Data Science to launch A/B tests, evaluating performance metrics, and iterating on designs based on concrete data (e.g., click-through rates, conversion).

• System Design:
  Designing at a system level, effectively applying and contributing to our existing design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and adherence to Android Material Design principles.

• Leadership:
  Presenting and articulating your design solutions, process, and rationale to peers, stakeholders, and senior leadership, both asynchronously and in-person. discovery phases and helping define product requirements

• You have 4+ years of professional experience working in product design, with a focus on mobile platforms (Android required).

• Demonstrated experience designing high-volume, complex user flows in areas such as Search, Discovery, or Commerce/Marketplace experiences.

• Expert proficiency designing for the Android ecosystem, including an in-depth understanding of Material Design, platform capabilities, and common interaction patterns.

• A strong portfolio that showcases highly developed design skills, including end-to-end flows, high-polish prototypes, and the successful application of a design system.
