Laboratory Administrator - Core Lab & Pathology

Overview

A reputable community hospital in Brooklyn is seeking an experienced Laboratory Administrator to oversee the Core Lab, Pathology Lab, and Infusion Department.

• Lead and oversee daily operations of the Pathology, Laboratory, and Infusion departments, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient workflow.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory, licensure, and accreditation standards through strong quality, policy, and performance oversight.
• Manage, train, and develop laboratory leadership and staff, including hiring, competency assessments, scheduling, and performance management.
• Oversee laboratory systems, equipment, vendors, inventory, and budget to support operational and financial efficiency.
• Partner closely with physicians and hospital leadership as a key liaison in planning, decision-making, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• 7+ years of laboratory leadership experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or similar applicable degree.
• New York State licensure.
• Requires high-level experience and knowledge of working with regulatory bodies including Joint Commission, NYSDOH, CMS/CLIA, CAP, etc.
• NYC fire department certificate of fitness.
