** Patient Registrar - NYP Medical Group Brooklyn - Day Shift

Explore this opportunity:

Register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, and feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others. In this role, you'll obtain demographic details, insurance information, and ensure proper scheduling. You'll record patient history while obtaining pre-certification and authorization for patients obtaining services. You will be the calm and reassuring presence patients need as they navigate their hospital experience.
** This is a full time day (Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm flexibility of hours is required) position at NYP Medical Group Brooklyn located at 38 6th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. Must be flexible, overtime as needed. Travel will be required to cover for other practice locations within Brooklyn when needed.
**** Preferred Criteria
*** Some college
* Knowledge of health insurance benefits/requirements
* Knowledge of Coding: ICD 9, CPT-4
* Experience working in a busy healthcare environment
* Experience in a Multispecialty practice preferred
* Bilingual
- Mandarin/Cantonese/Spanish or Russian speaking a plus
** Required Criteria
*** High School Diploma or GED
* One year of clerical experience
