A recognized health services network in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a certified Medical Assistant (MA) to join their Orthopedic Department.
About the Opportunity:- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Hours: flexible shifts between 7am and 7pm (35 hours/week with 1 hour unpaid lunch)
- Setting: Orthopedic - Bone & Joint Center
- Ensuring patient flow within exam rooms
- Assisting doctors during patient examinations
- Performing phlebotomy and EKGs
- Recording and managing patient data in EMRs
- Facilitating patient procedures and movements
- High School Diploma / GED
- Certification as a Medical Assistant
- EKG and Phlebotomy training required
- Experience with EMR Systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to take vital signs and assist with procedures
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Skills:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Bilingual
- Certification in CPR
