Assistant Professor - Cognitive Neuroscience (Psychology)
OverviewBrooklyn College of the City University of New York (CUNY) invites applications for a full‑time tenure‑track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Psychology with a starting date in August 2026, with a research focus in Cognitive Neuroscience.
ResponsibilitiesTeaching undergraduate, master’s, and/or doctoral courses.
Developing and maintaining a funded research agenda.
Advising, mentoring, and training undergraduate and graduate students.
Participating in college, department, and/or university committees, and various other service commitments (e.g., curriculum development, student outreach).
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in Psychology or related field from an accredited institution (including candidates who expect to complete their degree prior to the start date).
A record of published research in peer‑reviewed journals.
Ability to teach undergraduate or graduate courses.
Ability to teach in modalities offered at Brooklyn College such as face‑to‑face, online (synchronous and asynchronous), evening, and weekends. (

Teaching assignments are made by the department chairperson in consultation with instructors and faculty)
Potential for excellence in teaching, including online teaching, and scholarship.
Potential for success in securing external funding.
Postdoctoral experience.
Faculty in early stages of their career.
$79,598 - $102,017;
Salary commensurate with experience and credentials.
