The Academic Success Coach plays an integral role in the support and success of students in an accelerated nursing program at our sites in Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island City. Major responsibilities include registration, academic advising/success coaching and the retention/persistence of enrolled nursing students. The Success Coach interacts with students, university faculty and advising teams, professional staff, and other program personnel to enhance and facilitate the progression, and graduation of students.

Site location: travel between Long Island City, Brooklyn, Queens
Schedule: Hybrid position, 3 days onsite, 2 remote
Training Start: 3/9/2026

Compensation: $60,000-$64,350 annually
What You Will Do- Provides proactive and developmental coaching/advising for all active students
- Actively initiates and continues ongoing guidance to students whose grades, attendance, and/or personal barriers put them academically at risk
- Communicates concerns about student progress to the student, faculty members, and administration in conjunction with coaching efforts and strategy
- Consistently stays engaged with students in order to promote success by using forums such as one-on-one meetings, phone calls, face-to-face video chat, and success seminars
- Ensures timely coordination of registration of selected courses
- Acts as a liaison for students in matters related to academic appeals, readmission requests, grievances, etc. affecting a student’s progress through the program
- Adequately documents communication with students and maintains all required student population reports
- Positive attitude, high level of energy and enthusiasm
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports
- Confidence, resilience, strong organizational skills, exceptional persistence, a high level of commitment, and the ability to guide and motivate others
- Experience coaching students to ensure retention and persistence
- Master’s degree preferred
