Learning Center Teacher

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Schedule: Monday through Friday, Standard Business Hours
Salary: Based on Experience

A school in Brooklyn is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Center Teacher to support students in a small‑group or individualized learning environment. This role focuses on helping students strengthen academic skills, build confidence, and achieve success through targeted instruction and personalized support.

• Provide small‑group and one‑on‑one instruction to students requiring additional academic support
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and administration to support student learning goals
• Develop and implement individualized learning plans and targeted interventions
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic records
• Adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning styles and needs
• Support students with organization, study skills, and academic confidence
• Communicate regularly with teachers and families regarding student progress
• Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field required; teaching certification preferred
• Experience working with students in a learning center, resource room, or similar setting preferred
• Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and intervention strategies
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Patience, flexibility, and a student‑centered approach
