Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Pediatrician specializing in Infectious Disease to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. The Hospital provides outpatient health care for children and teens up to age 18 on the campus and in community-based Family Health Clinics. Kings County operates a renowned Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center serving 2.6 million children.

Opportunity Details
  • Oversee inpatient consults for Pediatric Infectious Disease cases (1 in
    3).
  • Conduct Ambulatory Care sessions for Pediatric Infectious Disease conditions, including Pediatric HIV and exposed infants born to HIV-positive mothers.
  • Support the Pediatric Hospitalist team, as needed.
  • Provide education and training to medical students, residents, hospital staff, and community partners.
  • Academic appointment at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University available, commensurate with experience.
  • Mentorship and growth opportunities for research, in the education and administrative tracks based on interest of the candidate.
Qualifications
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Pediatric Infectious Disease
  • Board Certification in Pediatrics
  • Active medical license in New York State
Benefits

Wages and Benefits including:

Annual Base Salary: $245,000
* based on 40‑hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $325,020**, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below.

  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO):
    Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage:
    Top‑tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
