Sun River Health is looking to hire an accomplished Full‑time Primary Care Physician (IM/FM) to join our team at the Alpha School location in Brooklyn, NY. The Primary Care Physician is responsible for managing a diverse patient panel with multiple co‑morbidities in a busy Federally Qualified Health Center. Care is delivered in collaboration with advanced practice providers, on‑site support staff, with an emphasis on preventative health and quality patient care.

Job Type: Full‑Time

Salary: $237,182 – $256,734

Sign On Bonus: $5,000 Sign‑On Bonus for Eligible External Applicants – Terms and Conditions Apply

Essential Duties And Responsibilities For a Primary Care Physician
  • Participate in planning and developing health care services, treatment of conditions and illnesses within scope.
  • Diagnose and provide treatment plans for patients.
  • Collaborate and supervise advanced provider clinicians.
  • Complete and participate in chart review process.
  • Referral and follow‑up of patients when needed.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Health Center in order to maintain high quality standards and achieve client satisfaction.
  • Clinical supervision:
    Overseeing the clinical work of students or new providers, ensuring they adhere to best practices and organizational standards.
  • Mentorship and guidance:
    Providing mentorship and guidance to students or new providers, helping them develop their clinical skills and professional behavior.
  • Educational support:
    Facilitating educational sessions, workshops or seminars to enhance the learning experience of the mentees.
  • Performance evaluation:
    Assessing the performance of students or new providers, providing constructive feedback and documenting their progress.
  • Patient care:
    Ensuring high‑quality patient care is maintained while supervising and mentoring students or new providers.
  • Collaboration:

    Working closely with academic institutions and other healthcare professionals to coordinate the educational activities and ensure a comprehensive learning experience.
Requirements
  • Doctorate Degree (MD, DO)
  • Active/Valid license as an MD or DO in New York State, DEA, Board certification
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
  • Experience in HIV care and MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse patient population in community health setting.
