Design Support Specialist
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Position Type: Part-Time
Schedule: 2-3 Days Per Week
Salary: Based on Experience
A construction and design company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Design Support Specialist to assist the design team with day-to-day project support. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to help bring design concepts to life and thrives in a structured, collaborative environment.
The Design Support Specialist will work closely with designers to support multiple projects at various stages, ensuring materials, documentation, and presentations are prepared accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities- Assist designers with the preparation of design presentations and client‑facing materials
- Source materials, finishes, and products based on project needs
- Coordinate communication with vendors and suppliers
- Manage and organize project documentation and files
- Support drafting of floor plans and preparation of design instructions for renderings
- Track revisions, updates, and project details to ensure accuracy
- Maintain clear communication with internal team members regarding project needs and updates
- Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Prior experience in design, construction, architecture, or project support is a plus, but not required
