The Creative Director will work closely with the Vice Dean for External Affairs and Public Relations and the Chief Marketing Officer to develop strategic design communication goals for both internal and external marketing and communications. Create illustrations of marketing assets (e.g., journal/proposal covers, print and digital advertising, data visualizations, marketing publications, etc). Oversee a team dedicated to graphic design, illustration, motion graphics, and branding.
Lead school-wide creative and brand strategy across several mediums (print, digital, web & social, video, way finding & signage, presentations & decks, etc). Develop creative briefs and decks illustrating concepts for marketing campaigns and other communications.

- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure brand consistency and effectiveness across all communications.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related area.
- 7+ years experience with marketing/communications and/or web communication techniques and supervision.
- Skilled illustrator with the ability to communicate a plethora of visual concepts and themes effectively.
- Ability to produce comprehensive creative briefs that lay out several options with respective timelines per project.
- Strong multitasking ability and capacity to meet multiple deadlines.
- Independent and collaborative creative thinker who can lead teams effectively and show a record of success.
- Ability to build consensus with a variety of stakeholders and demonstrate excellent writing, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
- Broad knowledge of and appreciation for the communications profession, with awareness of emerging trends.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $. NYU considers factors such as scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, key skills, internal equity, and market considerations when extending an offer.
