You will serve as a pivotal field leader, transforming world-class architectural designs into reality from complex structural stages through the execution of fine finishes.
This role offers the autonomy to manage elite trade partners while working alongside a talented team that prioritizes craftsmanship without the 80-hour work week. How You Will Make an Impact
- Implement comprehensive site planning and logistics to ensure the seamless execution of high-end residential projects.
- Lead the precise layout of all walls, fixtures, and custom millwork in strict accordance with contract plans.
- Supervise the installation of finish carpentry and specialty finishes to meet the highest standards of excellence.
- Coordinate and monitor the daily activities of subcontractors and vendors to maintain the project's critical path.
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment by developing and enforcing rigorous on-site safety procedures.
- Act as the primary bridge between complex architectural drawings and the physical art of craft on-site.
- Minimum of 6 years of construction supervision experience specifically focused on luxury high-end interiors.
- Extensive working knowledge of the building process for fine interior carpentry and specialty finishes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Proven ability to use woodworking tools and a deep understanding of construction means and methods.
- Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Project, and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with designers and trade partners.
- 62 hour SST card.
- Pro Core and Blue Beam experience (or similar software).
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience managing gut renovations of townhouses and lofts in New York City.
- Direct experience building custom cabinetry or working within a high-end furniture shop.
- Formal architectural training and a deep passion for high design and excellence.
- Current registration as a NYC Site Superintendent.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
