Overview
Job Title:
Construction Health & Safety Inspector
Pay Rate Range: $40-$50/hr on W2 (DOE)
Duration: 3+ months as a temporary role with a temp-to-hire option after a minimum of 520 hours worked
Work Location:
Brooklyn, NY. LOCALS ONLY – Field work is required in Brooklyn and surrounding boroughs of NYC.
Work Hours:
7am-4pm or 8am-5pm (approx)
Work Days:
Mon-Fri
Job Description:
We are looking for on-site construction safety managers for various electrical construction projects including electric substation breaker upgrades, relay upgrades, generating station upgrades; civil construction projects including concrete structure rehabilitations, demolitions, and earthworks; and mechanical projects including equipment upgrades and overhead crane upgrades.
On-site construction safety managers will be responsible for enforcing safety programs during construction, developing activity hazard assessments, contractor oversight, review and management of safety submittals, safety documentation, safety audits, corrective actions, field change requests, and daily on-site safety meetings.
Education:
BS in a basic science or technical degree in EHS management, or relevant work experience in EH&S is required.
Experience:
At least 8-10 years of related construction safety experience is required.
Software:
Demonstrated ability to utilize computer software (Microsoft Office, intranet/internet, etc.) including helping to implement the EHS electronic software platform at the site.
