Location:

Compensation:
Up to $200,000 base (commensurate with experience)
A well-established construction firm based in Brooklyn is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to support a strong pipeline of public works projects
. This role is ideal for a hands‑on estimator who is comfortable performing daily quantity takeoffs and pricing
, and who understands the accuracy, compliance, and documentation required in public‑sector construction.
- Perform daily quantity takeoffs and pricing across multiple public works projects
- Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates from schematic through bid submission
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify scope, risk, and cost drivers
- Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and vendor pricing
- Develop bid strategies in coordination with project management and leadership
- Assist with value engineering, alternates, and cost‑saving initiatives
- Maintain historical cost data, unit pricing, and estimating databases
- Support bid submissions, clarifications, and post‑bid reviews
- 8+ years of estimating experience with public works projects
- Strong hands‑on experience performing quantity takeoffs and pricing (required)
- Familiarity with NYC / NYS agencies and public bid procedures
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Proficiency with estimating software and Excel
- Detail‑oriented with strong time management and organizational skills
- Base salary up to $200k
- Stable pipeline of Brooklyn‑based public works projects
